From November 2022 to March 2023, the Scientific and Production Association (NPO) "LABS", which provides a range of electronic devices and equipment, implemented the hardware and software complex (HSC) "Potok-7" for monitoring and managing production processes at the Gomel Plant of Foundries and Normals (GZLiN) OJSC, which is a set of controllers (IoT devices - the Internet of Things - with built-in sensors) and server software (SW). The digital device allows you to receive information per second, unloading the equipment operating mode, and also simplifying access to information about the interaction of operators with machines.
NPO LABS designed a algeria whatsapp number database controller for installation on production equipment with a current sensor and RFID reader, transmitting sensor readings to the server via a Wi-Fi network, and in the event of an emergency shutdown, storing data on the controller and transmitting it when the connection is restored.
Artem Senik, CEO of LABS and creator of Stream 7, told a ComNew journalist that the project was launched in 2018. "Initially, it was implemented in welding production, when the project was in operation during the construction of Nord Stream in 2018-2019. It helped to take into account the performance indicators of welding teams," he said.
A representative of GZLiN told a ComNews journalist that the plant's management saw the work of "Potok-7" at Russian enterprises and initiated its implementation at the Belarusian enterprise. "We installed the system in order to increase productivity. Before the implementation, the equipment utilization rate was 60% - now it has increased to 85%, increasing the productivity rate by 39%. If we take it in standard hours (n/h), there were 7,000 items per n/h in the section - today it is 9,730 n/h," the representative of GZLiN noted.
Increased productivity
Artem Senik says that on average the productivity rate of customers has increased by 20-30%, and gave an example that at a company that produces containers for technical liquids, the rate was 80%, explained Artem Senik.
He believes that the introduction of various versions of KPI (key performance indicators) for personnel increases the interest and involvement of employees in the process. "We have experience of one plant, where the average salary of CNC machine tool adjusters was around 100 thousand rubles, and after the introduction of KPI, some specialists had their salary raised to 300 thousand rubles. This is most relevant now in the conditions of personnel shortage," added Artem Senik.
Dmitry Gladkov, General Director of JSC NPO Akhtuba, who uses Potok-7 at the metallurgical plant, notes that the mechanical processing shop has always been a bottleneck in the production chain of the enterprise. "We understood this and repeatedly confirmed our considerations with machine time calculations. With the installation of the Potok-7 monitoring system, we received actual data on the percentage of equipment utilization, which, firstly, allowed us to increase the productivity of the equipment and, secondly, to understand what kind of machine tools we lack," said Dmitry Gladkov.
He believes that Potok-7 is a quality product that costs money, and expressed hope that the developers will not stand still and will continue to improve the APCS. "It would be interesting in the future to have some kind of constructor for generating analytics on people and equipment not according to clearly defined parameters, but to change these parameters as needed. We are also waiting for a modular interface. All of the above is already available, but with the direct participation of the developers. I would like the program to be more independent," added Dmitry Gladkov.
