Shinjuku Alta displays posters with messages from celebrities to liven up the store until it closes

Shinjuku Alta and Harajuku Alta will close on February 28th. In order to keep the mall lively until the last day of business, they are planning a finale and posting information on a special website for the closing.

Shinjuku Alta, which opened in April 1980, has been a popular meeting place for many years as a distinctive building with a large screen since its opening. It was also the filming venue for the long-running japan whatsapp number data program "Waratte Iitomo!", which ended its broadcast in 2014. Harajuku Alta opened in March 2015 and has targeted teenagers visiting Takeshita Street.

One of the measures in preparation for the closure is Shinjuku Alta's "ALTA friends." Messages from people with ties to the building will be displayed on posters and digital signage throughout the building. Videos will also be streamed on the large-screen "Alta Vision." The display and streaming period will run until February 28th. The posters are scheduled to be displayed sequentially from January 20th.
