Kirill Semion, General Director of ANO "NCC ISU", spoke about the formation of requirements for the composite architecture of the 1C ERP system during the plenary session of the 10th Federal Forum on IT and Digital Technologies in the Oil and Gas IndustrySmart Oil and GasSeptember 10, 2024 According to him, in 2023, the National Center for Control Systems and Information Systems and 1C LLC signed an agreement on the formation of requirements for the core of the domestic resource management system (RMS, as ERP is now often called at the instigation of Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin), so that the development would meet the primary requirements of the corporate market.

will bring the 1C RMS closer iceland whatsapp number database to the status of an alternative to the SAP ERP system, which continues to be used by over 400 large corporations in various sectors of the Russian economy - despite the complete departure of the German developer of the same name from the Russian Federation.

"The requirements for the platform were formed by the founders of the NCC ISU (JSC Russian Railways, PJSC Gazprom Neft and LLC T1), and we actively interact with other corporations," noted Kirill Semion. According to him, 1C implemented 144 out of 200 first-level requirements of functions critical for the corporate market in the ERP product. However, the functional requirements formed based on the results of the analysis of basic business processes up to the third level of depth exceeded 2,000 items.

According to 1C, by the beginning of 2024, the 1C:ERP solution contained 6.58 million lines of program code, 1C:Corporation - 9.84 million lines, and 1C:Corporation with specialized blocks for the 1C:Together project (CRM, PLM, WMS and 12 more elements) - 15.57 million lines. For comparison, the 1C:Manufacturing Enterprise Management product, which appeared in 2004, consisted of 284 thousand lines of program code, and the 1C:ERP 2.0 version, released at the end of 2013, contained 1.43 million lines.

"We have done a lot of work. Based on this, we and our colleagues from Gazprom Neft have identified the best resources within the composite architecture and formulated requirements for it. These documents are ready and will be submitted to the founders for approval," said Kirill Semion, who is also the head of the IT department at Russian Railways. He added that the functional module of the new development should be ready in 2025. Its advantage will be the composite architecture, which may be in demand by other companies. Kirill Semion noted that specialists from Gazprom Neft presented a set of IT solutions on 1C that implement processes specific to the oil and gas industry, and they are built into the system as part of an integrated approach.

Research firm Gartner published a report back in October 2020 proving that the future of ERP lies in composite solutions. “This means that software will consist of several individual components, or microservices, that can be combined in different ways to meet specific business needs. Business applications will eventually be built on top of composite business modules, which will enable new business scenarios to be quickly implemented,” Gartner concluded at the time.
