Alexander Aleinikov, Director of Interactive Commerce for the Retail Network of PJSC MTS, told a ComNews correspondent about the ongoing work on improving the online store. According to him, the online store and other online sales tools are "one of the key focuses for both MTS and the entire industry," and it is important for the company to work on improving functionality and developing a technological platform that "allows us to reduce time to market and increase fault tolerance."
"Since one of the most important areas of the online store is the sale of MTS ecosystem products, our challenges are largely related to the growth of service quality indicators, as well as the development of sales mechanics and bundling of gadgets with SIM products," he said.
Dmitry Sytin, CEO of Cooper JSC (Cooper.pro commercial procurement service), generally agreed with the K2Tech experts. However, he named the first of the challenges not as maintaining the IT platform (it is third in his rating), but as finding, retaining and developing a client base, advertising the online store and supply chain issues.
"Each problem requires an individual approach to the solution. In the field of IT development, everything depends on the scale of the business. For large companies, it makes sense to have their own staff of developers, which allows fixing costs within the framework of unit economics. For smaller-scale projects, it may be more profitable to turn to contractors," concluded Dmitry Sytin.
