Oleg Shalnov, Director of the IT Project Management and Integration Department of Rosenergoatom Concern JSC, reported that the company is completing the design of the first stage of pLTE at two nuclear power plants (NPPs), and plans to launch the networks in 2024. "In 2024, we plan to begin designing five more NPPs. We do not have any operational pLTE networks yet. The advantage of pLTE over public cellular networks is that it provides the required level of information security, which is important for the safe operation of existing nuclear power facilities," he added.

JSC Atomdata also conducted estonia whatsapp number database pilot deployments of Private LTE wireless networks at nuclear industry enterprises. "The pilot showed that, on the one hand, digitalization and automation projects for application processes for effective implementation require a transition to modern communication standards that can ensure end-to-end operation of devices with different requirements for traffic profiles and energy efficiency. On the other hand, projects to create private communication systems within a critical information infrastructure entity require isolation from public or externally managed networks," Sergey Lysenko, CEO of JSC Atomdata, told a ComNews correspondent.

issues of the applicability of Private LTE at facilities with increased information security requirements, and on creating a comprehensive trusted solution built on the basis of registry components.

"I heard about Sibur's pilot project to organize pLTE and I know what difficulties they encountered. Our company has slightly different tasks and approaches, and we see prospects for building pLTE networks, since without a universal data transmission environment, the implementation of dynamically developing automation and digitalization systems is impossible," said Roman Podgornykh, head of communications at the Siberian Coal Energy Company (SUEK).

SUEK has been using pLTE networks to organize communication with unmanned quarry trucks since 2021. "The use of pLTE for unmanned transport is due to the high data transfer speed and low data latency. The use of public 3G/LTE networks is impossible due to the unguaranteed provision of data transfer speed and possible delays in the data transmission channel. We plan to expand pLTE networks for dispatching systems, monitoring of equipment and personnel, process optimization systems, remote video surveillance and voice radio communications. At the same time, we do not completely abandon the use of public 3G/LTE networks and industrial and technological radio communications," said Roman Podgornykh.

According to him, the best option is a symbiosis of using different data transmission network technologies, which compensates for the shortcomings of some technologies with others: private pLTE networks - where it is necessary to transmit large amounts of data or services are critical to delays in communication channels; public 3G/LTE networks - where it is necessary to provide communication outside the enterprise and there is no criticality to the stability of the connection; industrial and technological radio communication networks - where it is necessary to ensure reliable and uninterrupted radio communication service.
