A unique project is being implemented in Tatarstan to create a digital database of forest lands in the region, which will help solve several urgent problems facing the forest complex of the republic. This was reported by the press service of the regional Ministry of Forestry.
of the Republic of Tatarstan, the finland whatsapp number database executor is InnoGeoTech, a subsidiary of Innopolis University, founded jointly with JSC RVC.
As of January 2024, the first stage of work has been completed on 6 forestry units of the republic - Lubyansky, Zelenodolsky, Sabinsky, Isleitarsky, Bavlinsky and Laishevsky. To do this, InnoGeoTech specialists completed a number of cartographic tasks, including work to bring the forestry network to the boundaries of the forestry units approved by the order of the Federal Forestry Agency, and an analysis of information from the Unified State Register of Real Estate. In addition, 570 materials with data on forest fund lands were scanned. Thanks to this, data on more than 170 thousand hectares of land is now available in machine-readable vector form. By the end of the year, similar work will be carried out on another 25 forestry units of the region.
The digital database is designed to help solve the problem of discrepancies between the data of the Unified State Register of Real Estate and the state forest register. To do this, the boundaries of forestries approved by Rosleskhoz are compared with the data of the Unified State Register of Real Estate, that is, with lands of other categories (for example, agricultural lands or populated areas). Then the register of intersections of forest areas with lands of other categories is analyzed, where each forest area has a status depending on the actual situation.
In addition, the digital database is a tool for regulating forest management in the region. For this purpose, a digital layer of leased areas is created based on scanned map materials - these are areas of the forest fund that are transferred for fixed-term or indefinite, as well as free use to tenants. The digital database is the basis for creating the designed Regional Forest Management System (RFMS), which should transfer the processes of management and control of the forest fund to a fully digital format.
