Of course, Stormtroopers and Darth Vader also wear suits. But these aren't the shoe-in cameos that Disney loves. The presence of characters here feels necessary. Most importantly, Rogue gives us a new perspective—several fresh perspectives—while feeling like a natural part of this galaxy far, far away. When does Andor take place in the Star Wars chronology Let's go over some quick details before we get into what happens in Rogue.

You may remember our ragtag group of Resistance members – spoiler teacher database alert! —Died in Scarif after completing an important mission. Among them is Cassian Andor. In a sense Andor is a prequel to the prequels. just minutes before the start of the original film Star Wars: A New Hope making Rogue a prequel to the first film as we know it. For obvious reasons Andor's story takes place before the events of Rogue which makes it a prequel series to the prequel movies.

The series is set in the early stages of the rebellion and will span the course of 20 years. If you've watched anything about Star Wars including the animated show you might be excited to find out that Andor takes place concurrently with Rebels Season 1 storyline also predates A New Hope by about five years.
