Each suggestion is accompanied by the average number of monthly searches (search volume of the keyword) and the competition.

Here is an example using the McDonald's website:

Look at the first keyword idea listed, “mcdonald's baguette”.

Its average is 100 to 1,000 monthly searches and the competition for this keyword is described as “low”.

Note : It is important to note that in Google Keyword Planner, competition refers to advertisers bidding on a given keyword, not its organic (unpaid) competition.

However, Google Keyword Planner can provide plenty of ideas for your paid keywords and keyword SEO strategy.

Google Search Console
Google Search Console is another free tool to track your website's performance in terms of organic traffic on Google.

You can use it to find new keywords. And get data on the keywords you rank for, so you can determine if they're worth targeting.

To get started, head over to the Google Search Console page . Then click the Get started now button and enter your domain.

You will need to certify that you are the owner of the domain by using DNS verification or by uploading an HTML file to your website.

You can also add an HTML tag to your site or use your Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager account.
