Equipment and Installation

Post by [email protected] »

1. Always try to keep spares for your computer, cables, cameras, etc. Audio cables and connectors are especially important. They are cheap, but they are not easy to find when you suddenly need them. So when you buy a cable or connector, buy at least one in stock.

2. Always keep your devices charged. Always have spare batteries. (Live streaming is a heavy drain on batteries.)

3. Separate your storage space for audio, video, USB cables, microphones, tools, etc. and label them all. This will make it easier for anyone who might be helping you behind the scenes while you’re on air.

4. To produce a high-quality look and argentina phone number library sound, you will need to invest in a quality webcam, a lapel microphone, and lighting.

5. Check that the technical specifications of your equipment are suitable for live streaming.

6. Use Wi-Fi network connection if possible.

7. Check your internet upload speed on a site like speedtest.net before publishing. Disable or pause any Dropbox/Google Drive apps you have running in the background.

8. If you are working outside on a hot day, keep your computer cool to prevent overheating. Put an umbrella over it or use a cooling fan.

9. Do a test run before going live to make sure everything is working fine and that you understand the controls of the live streaming app you are using. You can ask a friend for feedback on the test run for a real experience.

10. Complete your preparations as early as possible before the live broadcast. This will give you the opportunity to find solutions to any problems you may encounter.
