I do not agree with the authors who generally

I always read publications about the Russian marketing research market with interest. Because we are similar, almost like relatives. True, the volumes differ by an order of magnitude. However, the trends are almost parallel.

That’s why I was delighted to find a publication about my Russian colleagues in the business magazine “Company”: “Delay in Development” (10/24/2011)

question the existence of the research segment as a separate brazil cell phone number list market due to its “humiliatingly” small volume (more than 300 million dollars!!! compare - in Kazakhstan - about 20 million dollars) and the absence of high-profile events.

Nevertheless, the article, based on expert assessments of players in this market, clearly outlines current and emerging trends. I will give some quotes that summarize these trends:

— “there is a market (for research), but it is highly fragmented and poorly developed”

— “The sad thing is price tenders . Introduced to minimize dishonesty and kickbacks, they force the purchase of studies of inferior quality , since expert assessment of the quality of the submitted proposals is usually not taken into account.”

— “a distinctive feature of the domestic market research segment is the wide representation of foreign players (up to 70% of the industry)”

— “another characteristic feature of domestic research is its “humiliatingly small ” volume, according to Andrey Milekhin. “Any market can only live when there is volume,” the expert is sure. “As long as there is no volume, it is rather a parody of the market. No one can even really calculate it. Somewhere around $300-400 million. By all accounts, it should now be 5-10 times larger” (in my opinion, this is a controversial statement. At the same time, Andrey Milekhin believes that the research market in Russia began in the “noughties,” so “we simply physically did not have time to grow to the level of “old market” countries”)
