You don't just offer a discount, you do it with emotion and a slight urgency, without pressure. This works well, especially in stories and quick responses to requests.

If you're launching a new collection, course, or product, make it an event. Offer early access to new products to select people, such as those who have already purchased your products or expressed interest in the company.
