Mobile gaming is booming right now , and this growth isn’t going to stop. Our State of Gaming report, published in November 2020, revealed that globally, demand for gaming apps increased by 45% in 2020 compared to 2019. There was a massive increase in new players trying games for the first time, with a 90% increase in hyper-casual game downloads.
There was also a staggering 250% increase in the number of non-organic marketing egypt number data -driven installs, proving just how essential mobile marketing and measurement are to the success of the gaming industry.
E-commerce has also been greatly strengthened by the pandemic. Where is this type of commerce heading and what opportunities have you seen?
Ecommerce, especially on mobile, has been on the rise for some time, but the pandemic has given it the final push. Our latest State of eCommerce App Marketing report revealed that retail app installs increased by 124% between February and May, just as the first wave of COVID-19 hit. Across 2020, there was a 36% increase in app installs.
Despite being a tough time economically, many marketers invested heavily during the pandemic as they sought to make the most of the forced adoption of digital commerce services. With Spanish marketers devoting their budget to user acquisition, non-organic installs saw 89% quarter-over-quarter growth between Q1 2020 and Q2.
