The only social network where we could work immediately and without creating profiles is TikTok. In addition, this platform is actively used by the target audience we need.
The mechanism of interaction with advertising here is as follows: the user scrolls through the feed with videos and periodically comes across an advertisement, which includes a call to action, a link to a website or application.
The content is not tied to friends or subscribers. A person watches a video stream and does not focus on authorship.
It turns out that the user rarely visits the profile, and a small number of publications does not negatively affect the results of the advertising campaign. Therefore, targeting in TikTok works without a profile.
How we set up advertising
To set up targeting in TikTok, we created an account in TikTok Ads. Next student data in the advertising account:
1. Created a pixel code and installed it on the site. This allowed us to transfer data on target actions to the advertising account, train the advertising platform algorithms and improve the indicators.

2. Selected a relevant type of advertising campaign - traffic campaigns with conversion optimization. The goal was to go to the landing page for course registration.

3. We selected the audience segment we needed (Active/Audience): high school students.

4. Clarified the interests of the audience - education. Most often interacted with the topics: culture, education, technology.
